Meals on Wheels-Older Adult Alternatives of Fairfield County, Inc. gratefully accepts donations from individuals, businesses, memorial gifts, bequests, and other financial gifts. Donations represent nearly 20% of our total operating budget. No gift is too small. If you wish, you may designate your donation be used for a specific service or purpose. Bequests are welcomed blessings, and remember, Meals on Wheels and Olivedale Senior Center are two separate organizations. A bequest for Meals on Wheels needs to be so stated, or our agency will not be the recipient of your gift.

While our focus remains on older adults age 60 and older, as donations allow, we provide home delivered meals to profoundly handicapped Fairfield County residents under the age of 60. We have no funding source for these meals other than your unrestricted donation.

Donations may also take the form of durable medical equipment that you or a loved one no longer needs. We accept items that are in excellent condition to loan out to older adults who need them. Items we accept include wheelchairs, walkers, lift chairs, extended bathtub benches, raised over-toilet seats (on four legs) with arms, and so forth. If you would like more information on donating one of these items or others call the Aging Services Office.
